Selection based on a merit list created from all applicants against the notification.
Merit list prepared using matriculation marks (10th) (minimum 50% aggregate) + ITI marks.
Matriculation percentage is calculated from marks in all subjects, not just specific ones.
In case of a tie, older age or earlier matriculation pass date is used for preference.
Candidates listed need to verify original documents and provide a medical certificate.
5. Age
between 15 and 24 years of age as of 29-08-2023.
Age relaxation for:
SC/ST: Up to 5 years.
OBC: Up to 3 years.
Persons with Disability: Up to 10 years.
Ex-servicemen: Up to 10 years + service duration in Defence Forces + 6 months continuous service, if not already in Civil service.
6. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system).
Minimum requirement: 50% marks in aggregate.
Additionally, candidates must possess:
National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). OR
Provisional Certificate issued by NCVT / State Council for Vocational Training.

HEIGHT: 137 cm; Weight: 25.4 kg; Chest expansion not less than 3.8 cm irrespective of chest size. Candidates not meeting these standards but certified by a Medical Officer may be engaged.
Eyes
No morbid condition of eyes or lids liable to risk of recurrence.
Vision
Candidates with vision in one eye eligible for apprenticeship training in most trades; exceptions listed. Colour vision not required.
Ears
Good hearing in both ears; no suppurative disease; no hearing aids permitted.

9. General Instructions:
Completion of training in Railway does not guarantee absorption in the Railway after training completion.
Candidature may be canceled if original required testimonials are not produced or discrepancies are noticed.
The Railway administration does not bear responsibility for responding to non-selected candidates.
No daily allowance, conveyance allowance, or traveling allowance will be provided during document verification.
Application printouts, certificates, or copies need not be sent to RRC by post.
The candidate’s candidature is considered based on information in the online application.
After selection, requests to change division/unit will not be entertained.
